We have been working with Delta Cable to produce a series of news stories on Delta's Emergency Program, highlighting the need for residents to get prepared and get involved in any of our volunteer components of the program (ESS, DARS - Delta Amateur Radio Society, NEPP - Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program).  The news stories will be aired each day during Emergency Preparedness Week, May 4-10, 2008.   The news story that included footage of the ESS Group Lodging course in action is actually being aired this week @ 6:30 pm each night.  So please take a moment to view the story and see some of your colleagues in training and our message to recruit new volunteers.   Also attached is a summary of the ESS training courses being offered for the period of April - June, 2008 throughout the Southwest Region.  If you're interested in registering for any of these courses, please advise by return email (name of course, date and location).   Thank you,   Heather Lyle Emergency Program Manager
